Customer Reviews From Amazon Show that there Really is a Pot of Gold at the End of the Rainbow

Did you know that the pride parades in Seattle, San Diego, New York, and San Francisco amass a total of 8 million participants and spectators, which is almost a fifth of California’s population? With that much attention on just parades, we pondered back to the start of rainbow socks and how sales have grown since then. To do this, we counted up the number of reviews on best-selling rainbow socks per year.

What we found was an exponential increase in reviews over a nine-year period. In 2012, there were only two reviews. By 2020, the numbers had increased to almost 1,400. If you think that is a significant enough increase, more progress followed. Despite being only five months into 2021, there have already been 1,600 reviews which put the total for the year on track to hit 3,000. Does this mean a new rainbow sock fad is coming? The results sure look promising…
